This study systematically examines and compares the strategic impacts of FinTech adoption on SME performance in Indonesia and Malaysia through a PRISMA guided systematic literature review of peer-reviewed studies, institutional reports, and official publications from 2018 to 2025. The analysis focuses on financial access, operational efficiency, innovation capability, regulatory environment, and institutional trust. The findings show that FinTech adoption enhances access to finance and improves transactional efficiency in both countries; however, the depth and sustainability of these benefits differ across contexts. In Indonesia, FinTech mainly supports financial inclusion and short-term liquidity management, while in Malaysia it is more deeply integrated into organizational and financial systems, contributing to sustained productivity and strategic resilience. These differences are largely driven by variations in regulatory maturity, institutional support, and organizational readiness. The study concludes that FinTech adoption alone does not guarantee improved SME performance, rather its strategic value depends on the alignment between technological adoption, firm-level capabilities, and institutional environments. The findings offer comparative insights for policymakers and practitioners aiming to strengthen FinTech-enabled SME development strategies in emerging economies.
2026-06-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Achref Boubekri, Tasya Aspiranti, Nunung Nurhayati, Ima Amaliahhttps://www.ojsapaji.org/index.php/mariobre/article/view/457Tax Intensification and Extensification in Enhancing Local Tax Revenue: Evidence from the Regional Revenue Agency of Berau Regency2026-06-12T18:59:30+00:00Roni Sander Sarangaronisander08@gmail.comHendrik Gunadihendrik_gunadi@ukipaulus.ac.id
Local tax revenue represents a crucial component in strengthening regional fiscal capacity and supporting sustainable regional development. Efforts to optimize tax revenue can be implemented through tax intensification and tax extensification strategies conducted by local governments. This study aims to examine the role of tax intensification and tax extensification in improving local tax revenue at the Regional Revenue Agency of Berau Regency. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 40 employees of the Regional Revenue Agency who are directly involved in local tax management. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS version 31.00. The results indicate that tax intensification and tax extensification demonstrate positive and significant relationships with local tax revenue. Partially, tax intensification shows a t-value of 3.991 and tax extensification a t-value of 4.192, both exceeding the t-table value of 2.026 with significance levels below 0.05. Simultaneously, the two variables also demonstrate statistical significance with an F-value of 23.143, which is higher than the F-table value of 4.11. These findings highlight that strengthening tax administration, improving taxpayer compliance, and expanding the tax base contribute to the enhancement of local tax revenue.
2026-06-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Roni Sander Saranga, Hendrik Gunadihttps://www.ojsapaji.org/index.php/mariobre/article/view/464Strategic Development of Local Coffee SMEs: A Force Field Analysis of Growth Drivers and Constraints2026-06-12T18:21:23+00:00Lady Hatita Breby Perangin Angin25030011@uniba-bpn.ac.idMuhammad Irfan25030017@uniba-bpn.ac.idNira Dewi Susanti25030009@uniba-bpn.ac.idIndrayani Indrayaniindrayani@uniba-bpn.ac.id
This study aims to analyze the strategic development of local coffee SMEs in Balikpapan using a Force Field Analysis (FFA) approach to identify growth drivers and constraints. A qualitative-descriptive design was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from selected SME actors and stakeholders. The analysis reveals that the total weighted score of driving forces (6.87) exceeds restraining forces (5.58), indicating a positively inclined but fragile growth condition. Key driving forces include increasing coffee consumption and the availability of digital marketing platforms, while major constraints consist of limited access to capital and weak managerial capability. The findings highlight a critical growth–capability gap, where strong market opportunities are not fully supported by internal readiness. This study contributes by demonstrating the usefulness of FFA in capturing the dynamic interaction between enabling and constraining factors, offering more actionable insights compared to linear approaches. The results suggest that strengthening internal capabilities and optimizing digital adoption are essential to achieving sustainable growth. The results show that Social Media Marketing has a positive and significant effect on Customer Engagement, although the effect is moderate. Customer Engagement is found to have a strong and significant influence on Brand Loyalty, indicating its critical role in building long-term customer relationships. Meanwhile, the direct effect of Social Media Marketing on Brand Loyalty is positive but relatively weak. The findings reveal that customer rating pressure has a stronger impact on job stress compared to workload, highlighting the critical role of algorithmic management in shaping drivers’ psychological conditions. Job stress is found to significantly influence burnout and serves as a key mediating mechanism. While workload directly and indirectly affects burnout (partial mediation), customer rating pressure influences burnout only indirectly through job stress (full mediation). These results suggest that burnout among gig workers is not merely driven by physical job demands but is primarily shaped by psychological pressures embedded in platform-based evaluation systems. This study contributes to the literature by demonstrating that not all job demands operate through the same pathways, emphasizing the dominance of algorithmic pressure in the gig economy. The findings offer practical implications for platform providers and policymakers to design more sustainable and worker-friendly systems.
2026-06-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Roswiyanti Roswiyanti, Hery Eko Prastiyo, Grace Indri, Didik Hadiyatnohttps://www.ojsapaji.org/index.php/mariobre/article/view/468Social Media's Entertainment, Customization, and Trendiness Shape Brand Image and Purchase Intentions for Indonesian Women2026-06-12T18:21:17+00:00Mohamat Basori24220010@pertiwi.ac.id
Social media's rapid growth has reshaped brand-consumer ties, especially for Indonesian women in e-commerce. However, evidence regarding its impact on long-term consumer outcomes remains fragmented and theoretically inconsistent. This study aims to synthesize the existing literature on digital marketing adoption and consumer behavior in emerging economies while identifying key mechanisms that shape the conversion of digital engagement into sustainable consumer value. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, resulting in a final sample of 47 substantive studies published between 2015 and 2025. The findings indicate that digital marketing adoption is driven by technological, social, and institutional factors, including perceived usefulness, social influence, trust, digital literacy, and infrastructural readiness. While digital marketing consistently enhances consumer engagement and purchase intention, its effects on loyalty, advocacy, and long-term commitment remain inconsistent across contexts. This review identifies a persistent conversion gap between consumer engagement and sustainable consumer outcomes, highlighting limitations in adoption-centric theories such as TAM and UTAUT. To address this gap, the study proposes an Institutional Conversion Framework that integrates technological, relational, and institutional dimensions to explain post-adoption consumer behavior. The study contributes to theory development and offers practical insights for digital marketers, platform providers, and policymakers in emerging economies.
2026-06-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Mukhtar Galib; Johannes Baptista Halikhttps://www.ojsapaji.org/index.php/mariobre/article/view/496Financial Anxiety, Financial Self-Efficacy, and Investment Decision-Making: A Mediation Perspective2026-06-12T18:21:06+00:00Meliani Triana Puspitasarimelianitrianap@gmail.comGrace Indrigekaunang@gmail.comAlex Syautaalex_syauta@transkon-rent.comNurlia Nurlianurlia@uniba-bpn.ac.id
This study examines the relationship between financial anxiety, financial self-efficacy, and investment decision-making among individual investors in Indonesia. This study investigates the causes of premature hoisting wire rope failure on the deck crane of MV Roslyn and proposes maintenance strategies to extend its service life. A qualitative case study approach was conducted based on field observations from July 2025 to February 2026. Data were obtained through direct observations, inspections of wire ropes, drums, and sheaves, maintenance records, lifting plans, and technical documentation. The results indicate that the hoisting wire rope operated for only 200–300 hours, substantially below the expected service life of 1,300–1,500 hours. The main contributing factors were incompatibility between the wire rope diameter and the drum and sheave groove dimensions, the use of a two-layer spooling system, and inadequate lubrication practices. These conditions increased contact stress, friction, fatigue, deformation, and structural deterioration of the wire rope. To address these issues, corrective measures were implemented, including improving lubrication practices and recommending dimensional adjustments to the drum and sheave grooves, as well as adopting a single-layer spooling configuration. Enhanced lubrication alone increased wire rope service life to approximately 600–700 operating hours. Furthermore, predictive maintenance based on operating hours was found to support timely replacement planning while maintaining vessel operational efficiency.
2026-06-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Michael Rumopahttps://www.ojsapaji.org/index.php/mariobre/article/view/493Training, Human Resource Development, and Work Motivation as Determinants of Employee Performance in Microfinance Cooperatives2026-06-12T18:21:09+00:00Dedi Bonggadedi_bongga@gmail.comPetrus Peleng Rorengpetrusroreng1@gmail.comCorvis L.
